What’s the story?
David Bautista or better known to fans as Batista has transitioned successfully into being a full-time actor. He already has some high-profile releases under his belt such as Guardians of Galaxy and Spectre and is also set to be a part of the upcoming Avengers movie.
In the screening for the Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 2 movie, Batista was photographed with the Smackdown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon and the Editorial Director of Men’s Fitness, Shawn Perine.

In case you didn’t know...
Batista left WWE for the second time in 2014 due to arguments over the creative direction. Since then, Batista has been quite vocal about how badly his return was handled and claimed on numerous occasions that he is done with wrestling. Batista also refused a cameo appearance at Wrestlemania 32.
Shane McMahon and Batista are known to be good friends and have also shared the ring quite a few times. The following tweet will serve the purpose of giving you an idea of how deep their friendship is.
The heart of the matter
Batista plays the role of Drax the Destroyer in the Marvel’s Guardians of Galaxy movie series. Shawn Perine recently shared a photograph of Batista along with Shane McMahon and himself on Instagram.
This is not the first time the junior McMahon has made an appearance for Batista’s movie screening. McMahon was also present at Spectre’s screening to support the wrestler-turned-actor.
What’s next?
These appearances by Shane McMahon do not suggest that the Animal will be returning to WWE, however, one cannot rule out the possibility of a comeback.
Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to release on May 5.

It is good to see that Shane and Dave’s friendship is still intact even though they no longer work together. Shane showing his support for Batista by attending the screenings of each of his films is very admirable.
