WWE has officially shifted its Smackdown show from Friday night to Thursdays. The Syfy programming calender has listed the show on Thursday nights effective from October 2nd.
This marks the return to the original schedule since 2005 when Smackdown was moved from Thursday to Friday night. The Smackdown band debuted in 1999 and was a Thursday night series.
It will be preceding “Haven,” which stars WWE Hall of Famer Adam “Edge” Copeland.
Talks of moving the show to Thursdays were going on for a while before WWE willingly moved it back to the initial date. Even discussions of broadcasting the series live on Tuesdays during their most recent TV negotiations were held.
