In an interview with USA Today, Vin Diesel opened up about his feud with The Rock and the nature of their relationship. He also claimed to be The Great One’s big brother in Hollywood.

The heart of the matter
Vin Diesel said that he had buried the hatchet with The Rock and elaborated on the close nature of their relationship. He said:
"I don't think the world really realizes how close we are, in a weird way. I think some things may be blown out of proportion. I don't think that was his intention. I know he appreciates how much I work this franchise. In my house, he's Uncle Dwayne."
The 49-year old also claimed that he was The Rock’s “ big brother” in Hollywood:
"I protect the franchise. I protect everybody including Dwayne. I protected Dwayne more than he'll ever know. And it doesn't matter. He doesn't have to know. But he appreciates it. He knows it. Dwayne has only got one Vin in his life. Dwayne Johnson only has one big brother in this film world and that's me."
Diesel also admitted that he and The Rock were alphas and that they had trouble getting along, occasionally.
What’s next?
The Fate of the Furious is set to release on April 14, 2017, in the United States. The Rock and Vin Diesel will continue to make several media appearances to promote the movie, so don’t be surprised if more light is shed on this story.

In my opinion, this is nothing more than a minor spat between two adults. If the two men involved were software engineers, nobody would be talking about it, so let’s just move on.
