NXT News: New match set for NXT Takeover, full card for the show

Summerslam weekend is giving Wrestlemania weekend the run for its money. The biggest party of the summer has had a full fledge weekend since last year, where NXT Takeover:Brooklyn was introduced, the night before Summerslam. Takeover:Brooklyn was a universally acclaimed show, getting extremely favourable reviews from both critics and fans alike. In fact, it was considered far better than Summerslam itself, which is the show that the weekend is supposed to be about. The most critically acclaimed match from the Brooklyn card was Sasha Banks vs Bayley for the NXT Women’s Championship. This year, NXT returns to Brooklyn a year after their breakout show, the show that truly put NXT on the map as a force to be dealt with, and began the transition into the brand that it is still happening. Brooklyn was the first show that NXT had done in front of a crowd of about 14,000+. Since then, NXT have gone to London and Dallas where they performed in front of 10,000 people each.NXT have been putting out a video package graphic for weeks teasing the debut of Ember Moon. It was then announced that Ember Moon would be debuting August 20th, which incidentally happens to be the date of NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II. For those who are not aware of Ember Moon, she went under the name of Athena in the indies.Athena is considered one of the best female wrestlers on the planet. Recently, in a house show match against Asuka, she was defeated but received a standing ovation from the crowd. If that doesn’t say anything about her, then nothing will. It was announced on the final NXT before Back 2 Brooklyn that Billie Kay would be Ember Moon’s opponent. It could possibly be the opening match on the show since Andrade “Cien” Almas had his debut in the first match of NXT Takeover:The End. It is being speculated that Ember Moon will be the next big female babyface of NXT, possibly being the one to dethrone Asuka from her reign of destruction.The full card of NXT is as follows:
