WWE: RAW Preview for 24th June

Punk-New-Look

Last week’s RAW received praises from all the fans and critics alike. Now that we’re done and dusted with last week, we move on to North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, SC for this week’s Monday Night RAW. Going into the show, there are a lot of questions which have to be answered, and this week’s show promises to be a great one after the foundations were laid last week, as we move on to bigger feuds, better storylines and interesting matches on our way to Money in the Bank PPV next month. Last week’s RAW faded with the Second City Saint CM Punk laid out in the middle of the ring. What can we expect from this week’s episode? Let’s find out.

‘Paul Heyman Guy’ no more?

Arguably, the biggest news coming out of last week’s RAW was the ending of the show. CM Punk returned last week at Payback PPV to defeat Chris Jericho in his hometown, and the next night, made his RAW return and faced Alberto Del Rio in the main event of the evening.

Punk told Heyman he wasn’t his client, but his friend, and when Punk refused Heyman’s presence at ring side for his bout, that was when things got interesting. While Punk won his match via count out, his celebration was cut short by the returning Brock Lesnar, who hit the ring and asked for a microphone.

While it looked like the two ‘Paul Heyman Guys’ would have a verbal duel, the tension quickly escalated as Brock Lesnar dropped Punk with a huge F-5 to close the show. Now the question on everyone’s mind is, what will Heyman say? Did he ask his client to attack Punk? Where will Heyman stand among the rubbles? And what will CM Punk do? With the return of the Straight Edge Savior, RAW has become a lot more interesting!

Survival of the fittest

Last week on RAW, Daniel Bryan took on Orton to show the world he isn’t the ‘weak link’, but the match had to be ended abruptly due to a stinger suffered by Bryan. Post match, it was reported that Bryan blew a gasket in front of Triple H backstage, and the two exchanged some heated words.

On Smackdown!, Bryan won the rematch, but not the way he wanted. So this brings us to this week, as a third Bryan vs Orton match has been announced for the show. How will this match end? Will Bryan finally defeat Orton via pinfall? Or will Orton get one over his former team mate? And will last week’s altercation with Triple H cost Bryan? We’ll have to wait and find out!

World’s strongest man sends a strong message to Cena

Cena

Last week’s RAW was also built around Mark Henry, who left some cryptic messages on Twitter, indicating that he might call it a day after a glorious career. As an emotional Henry gave his retirement speech, the WWE Universe was left in tears, as the fans chanted ‘Thank you Henry’.

All of that quickly changed, however, as Henry delivered a World’s Strongest Slam to an unsuspecting John Cena, and made his intentions clear about facing Cena for the WWE title at Money in the Bank PPV. With the match being made official, how will Cena respond to Henry’s attack? Will the WWE Champion get his retribution over Henry? Or will Henry find a way to put down the champion once more? We will find out tonight on RAW!

Show-off no more?

When ADR finally won the World Heavyweight title back, he vowed to keep it around his waist at any cost. Dolph was not cleared to perform last week, but this week, we can be assured of seeing the ‘Show off’ once more, as he tries to get his hands on Alberto Del Rio. Will Ziggler get his revenge, or will Del Rio take advantage of Ziggler’s concussion? They might be involved in a rematch next month at the Money in the Bank PPV, and it will be interesting to see how these two performers will be booked from now.

The unholy alliance in the WWE

Last week, Colter found a new ‘client’ who isn’t an American! Instead, it turned out to be the one and only Antonio Cesaro. With Cesaro finally finding a manager, things can get interesting in the WWE. Cesaro has more talent than almost the entire locker room combined, and with a seasoned veteran by his side, the sky is the limit for the former Claudio. Who will he face this week? We will get all the answers soon.

Apart from this, how will Vickie react to The Shield interfering last week during Ambrose’s match even after being warned? Also, we might finally get to see the RAW debut of the Wyatt Family! This week’s RAW has all the tools to be a memorable show, and we will have to wait and see if the WWE creative delivers.
