WWE Raw Results: 4th March 2013

The Old School Raw special started with an old-school themed titantron. The gong sounded and out came the Undertaker. He left soon after making the WrestleMania 29 logo appear on the titantron, confirming his presence at the grandest stage of them all to put his 20-0 WrestleMania streak on the line.

Later, CM Punk came out and revealed that he wants to face the dead man at WrestleMania. Following that, Randy Orton, Big Show and Sheamus came out and made a pitch on why they were the ideal opponents for the Undertaker. The managing supervisor of Raw, Vickie Guerrero, came out and announced a Fatal 4 Way match to determine the Undertaker’s opponent at WrestleMania 29.

Match 1: Ryback defeated Antonio Cesaro via pinfall in a singles match. Ryback countered Cesaro’s neutralizer and executed his finishing move, shellshock.

Match 2: Mark Henry squashed Zack Ryder in a singles match. Henry had a brief showdown with Ryback while he was making his way to the ring before the start of this match.

Match 3: The Miz with Ric Flair at ringside defeated Dolph Ziggler via submission. The Miz used the figure 4 leg lock to force Ziggler to submit.

The Rock and John Cena were involved in a heated discussion about their WrestleMania 29 match. John Cena quoted Mike Tyson to convey his desire for redemption at WrestleMania. The Rock took a jab at Lance Armstrong with his quote.

Match 4: Jack Swagger vs Hacksaw Jim Duggan match ended in a no contest after Swagger attacked Duggan and other legends Dusty Rhodes and Sgt. Slaughter at ringside with Duggan’s 2X4. After this, Del Rio attacked Jack Swagger backstage.

Match 5: WWE Tag Team Champions Kane and Daniel Bryan beat the prime time players in a tag-team match. Kane chokeslammed Darren Young to get the pinfall victory. ‘The Million Dollar Man’ Ted Dibiase was at ringside during this match.

Match 6: Brodus Clay and Tensai defeated Drew McIntyre and Heath Slater in a tag-team match. The Honky Tonk Man celebrated with Brodus and Tensai after the match and Slater got hit by his guitar.

Fandango was supposed to take on Kofi Kingston in his Monday Night Raw debut. But it did not happen as Fandango felt that the announcer Justin Roberts could not get his name pronounced correctly.

Triple H called out Brock Lesnar for a match at WrestleMania 29.

Match 7: The World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio defeated the Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett in a singles match. Del Rio forced Wade Barrett to submit to a cross-armbreaker submission move as his WrestleMania challenger Jack Swagger watched on the ramp. After this, a video of Jack Swagger and Zeb Coulter taking about ‘political correctness’ was aired.

Match 8: New Age Outlaws Road Dogg and Billy Gunn defeated Epico and Primo in a tag-team match.

Match 9: CM Punk won the Fatal 4-Way match involving Sheamus, Randy Orton and Big Show to face the Undertaker at WrestleMania 29. After the match, the Undertaker came out and had a face off with CM Punk.
