What’s the story?
Goldberg came to the ring after the telecast of the latest episode of RAW and addressed the live crowd. He said that he was very fortunate to have a second run with the WWE, having even secured the Universal Championship in his short return but he added that has to leave the ring and spend more time with his family.
Goldberg even asked his son to come out to the ring which he did.

Goldberg returned to the WWE ring after 13 years last October and announced that he was going to challenge the best that WWE has to offer, namely The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar. He beat Brock in 1 minute 26 seconds at Survivor Series 2016 and subsequently eliminated him with ease from the Royal Rumble.
The heart of the matter
After this Monday’s RAW went off the air, Goldberg, who was defeated by Brock Lesnar only the night before at WrestleMania, had a lot to say to the audience. The former Universal Champion confessed that it definitely wasn’t part of the script and said that he was very satisfied with his second run as a WWE champion.
Goldberg addressed wrestling fans saying that he spent countless hours in the gym, training every day for the last few months so that he can leave a legacy that both the WWE Universe and his family can be proud of. He mentioned some of his favourite parts of his comeback, one of which was that he was able to go to his son’s school with the championship belt.
The WWE veteran eventually proceeded to call his son to the ring. The boy had a small slip-up while climbing over the barricades and Golberg said, “Look, he even takes bumps already. Hell, that’s one more than I’ve taken in my entire career until last night.”
To a very welcoming crowd, Goldberg announced that he has had an amazing comeback run for the last few months but maintained that it was time he went back to his family and left the ring for good.
What’s next?
Before leaving the ring, Goldberg said “never say never”, hinting at a future comeback which is unlikely, but not impossible.

Goldberg has been one of the most influential pro-wrestlers of the 90’s and he has decimated countless opponents during his run in both WCW and WWE including his record streak of 173 wins during his run as the WCW Champion.
He has achieved more than most pro-wrestlers can even dream of and it’s probably smart of him to retire in good health and be with his family.
