WWE: Short lived return for Ricardo Rodriguez

It was earlier noted that WWE superstar and Alberto Del Rio‘s personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez was scheduled to appear this week on WWE RAW. Ricardo was suspended for almost a month after the former was found guilty of violating WWE’s Wellness Policy.

Ricardo did appear as scheduled in Del Rio’s match against Rob Van Dam. However, what transpired after the match was the shocking part. RVD beat Del Rio and this did not go very well with the World Champion. Del Rio vented his frustration out on Ricardo as he manhandled his ring announcer.

He then proceeded to place Ricardo between the steel steps and kicked him, injuring his neck. Ricardo was stretchered off the ring after the vicious attack.

It is unclear what the WWE has in mind with respect to the returning Ricardo Rodriguez. Del Rio however has gained much needed heat into his ‘heel’ character.
