“I’ll spare you only this 1 time” - Deion Sanders’ son Shedeur Sanders delivers bold message for former Colorado player Gavin Kuld

Coach Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have been under intense criticism following a player exodus of sorts in the spring transfer portal. The latest to join the list was quarterback Gavin Kuld, who announced his decision to enter the portal earlier this month. However, Colorado QB1 Shedeur Sanders had a bold message for Kuld after his apparent jibe at the program.

Shedeur took to X on Thursday to fire warning shots at the QB.

“I learned sometimes you have to take the high road. @GKuld I’ll spare you only this 1 time,” Shedeur wrote.

Kuld seemed surprised at the message he got from Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders' son. He asked Shedeur Sanders about the reason for such a harsh message in an X post of his own. Kuld wrote:

“Bro @ShedeurSanders what high road? What are u talking about spare me lol.”

The social media feud between the two QBs seems to stem from alleged comments made by Kuld in an interview after his transfer out of Colorado. While the interview is no longer available to view, a part of it was shared by a fan on X, where the former Buffaloes player could be heard criticizing Shedeur while talking about NIL.

“Depends from team to team," Kuld apparently said on being asked if NIL has changed the sport.. "Look at Arizona. Look at Fifita, what he did with all his money, paid for all of his walk-ons. Look at Colorado, he’s got six cars and an apartment.”

It isn't the first time that an ex-player has been publicly critical of Colorado or the Sanders family.

Deion Sanders and the Xavier Smith controversy

Late last month, former Colorado defensive back Xavier Smith was critical of Deion Sanders' treatment of some players. He said in an interview with The Athletic that he felt like an extra and was effectively pushed out to seek a transfer from Boulder. According to Smith, Coach Prime could have handled the situation better.

"He was destroying guys' confidence and belief in themselves. ... The way he did it, it could've been done with a little more compassion,” the defensive back said in the interview.

Shedeur Sanders was quick to come to his father's defense and dismiss the allegations. He also downplayed Smith's contribution to the team, terming him "mid at best." Who is on the right side here? This is a question that only time can answer.
