Dillon Gabriel has put the college football world on notice with a blunt statement.

Dillon Gabriel took to Instagram to share some snaps from his preparations for the 2024 season. But it was his statement along with the photos that is making waves in the college football world. The Oregon Ducks quarterback has put everyone on notice regarding his strengths and abilities.

Gabriel is gearing up for his first season in Eugene after his transfer from the Oklahoma Sooners at the end of the 2023 season. He impressed fans with his performance in the Oregon Spring game last month, now he is all set to try and take the Ducks to the national championship, something his predecessor, Bo Nix, couldn't do.

Here are the snaps shared by the Oregon Ducks quarterback Dillon Gabriel along with his caption:

“I may not be your genetic freak but I can show you a different type of freak bb."

The snaps showed the Oregon star sweating it out on the practice field. There were also some pictures of his furry friend Winston, who appears regularly on Gabriel and his girlfriend Zo Caswell’s social media.

Dillon Gabriel has big shoes to fill as a replacement for Bo Nix, who led Dan Lanning’s side to the Pac-12 championship game last season, and the new leader has to do it in a much tougher Big Ten.

Dillon Gabriel gets emotional remembering his childhood dream

Dillon Gabriel started his journey in Hawaii, much like his inspiration Marcus Mariota. As a kid, he looked up to Mariota as he won the Heisman trophy with the Oregon Ducks. Gabriel, who has traced his idol’s steps to Eugene, returned to his roots to give back to his community earlier this month.

He donated Nike jerseys to the football team of the Mililani High School along with full football equipment. It was here that he played high school football and he got emotional while reflecting on his journey:

"That's what makes me emotional. Being once that kid who wanted to be like Marcus and play at the next level and the biggest stages with your teammates that you've grinded with. It's priceless. I want the same for all these kids, for Mililani and also on the island,” he said at the ‘I’m Inspired’ event.

Gabriel has been giving back to his high school and the community ever since his college football and NIL journey started. Now, he wants to win the Heisman with Oregon, just like his idol Mariota did.
