"I'll be glad he's gone" - David Moyes on Jurgen Klopp's decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the season

Following a 2-2 draw against Liverpool on April 27, West Ham United gaffer David Moyes said 'he'll be glad' when Jurgen Klopp leaves the club at the end of the season.

Klopp, who joined the club in 2015, will leave the club after nine glorious years, having led the club to a Premier League title and their sixth UEFA Champions League (UCL) title.

Liverpool and Feyenoord have reportedly reached an agreement over Arne Slot taking over Anfield at the end of the season. The BBC claimed that the deal is worth up to £9.4 million (10.9 million euros). Interestingly, several other managers have been linked to the club, including Bayer Leverkusen gaffer Xabi Alonso and Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel.

Reacting to facing Jurgen Klopp for the last time as a manager of the Kop, Moyes said (via Ryan Taylor Sport):

"Jürgen Klopp? I'll be glad he's gone. F****** too big, teeth are too bright. He's been immense for Liverpool. "He's the daddy there & has been able to control a big football club. Hurry up & get away Jurgen!"

While speaking to reporters about Slot taking over his position at the club, Jurgen Klopp said (via GOAL):

"I like the way his team play football and all the things I hear about him as a guy. Some people I know, know him, I don’t know him yet. Good coach, good guy. If he’s the solution for the club then I am more than happy. It’s not up to me to judge but it all sounds really good to me."

The Reds will face Tottenham Hotspur next on May 5, Sunday, in the Premier League.

Liverpool losing their grasp on the Premier League title

The Reds' game against West Ham United ended in utter disappointment, as the club dropped points yet again. Liverpool have managed just one win in their last five games in the Premier League and are winless in their last three games.

Jurgen Klopp's men suffered a loss to Crystal Palace and Everton, following their heart-breaking exit from the Europa League.

The Reds, who were once vying for four titles, are now just fighting for the Premier League title, which too seems to be slipping away. The Reds are third on the table with 75 points after 35 games, while Arsenal are second with 77 points after 34 games. Manchester City are second with 76 points and have played just 33 games. City will be crowned champions yet again if they win their remaining games.

As for the Reds, they'll be hoping to return to winning ways against Spurs and would be hoping to end what is Klopp's last season on a positive note.
