"Not in the mood to talk about that to be honest" - Jurgen Klopp responds when asked about PL title race after Liverpool's draw against West Ham

Jurgen Klopp has discussed Liverpool's current situation in the Premier League title race, following their 2-2 draw against West Ham.

The Reds currently sit in third place, behind Manchester City who are in second and Arsenal who are currently topping the table. While they have the same points as the Cityzens, the Reds have played two more games, and Pep Guardiola's men are widely expected to get well ahead of Liverpool.

As far as the Premier League title is concerned, especially after the Reds' losses to Everton and Crystal Palace, they now seem to be well out of the race. Jurgen Klopp responded to a question from the press about their failing title charge, and he said (via Football365):

“I’m not in the mood to talk about that, to be honest or look at that at all. We had to win here, we knew that, and we didn’t, and now we have a little bit more time between now and the next game. We try to get the boys ready again and we will go again.”

Klopp was also asked about his out-of-form forwards, who are all struggling to find goals in recent games. The German responded:

“It is what it is. You see the games. We are together and we go through that together, that is all. The boys want it, they fought hard, gave absolutely everything. For some of them it was definitely too hard today, and yes that’s it.”

Liverpool and West Ham share the spoils in 2-2 draw

It was an impressive outing for the Hammers, who came from behind to earn a draw, even though they had scored the first goal. Jurgen Klopp's men dominated the proceedings through much of the first half, getting through their hosts in the final third consistently.

However, it was West Ham who went ahead late in the first half, thanks to a smart nod from Jarrod Bowern to put the ball into the back of the net. The second half started with Liverpool finding the equalizer, thanks to a low effort from Andy Robertson, which stumped goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.

The Reds continued to hound the Hammers, eventually going ahead with an own goal from the goalkeeper. Cody Gakpo's close range effort saw a couple of deflections, before hitting Areola and finding its way into the net. However, Jurgen Klopp's men could not hold onto their lead, as a perfect header from Michail Antonio forced them to share the spoils.
