A recent leak by HYPEX hints at three upcoming augments that will be added to Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 in the upcoming update next week, which could change the playstyle of Loopers. Despite being a speculated leak, Loopers are hoping for these additions, as perks assigned to the player activating the augment should revive memories of the Fortnite of old.

The first leaked Augment is called Rifjector Seat, which will Rift a player automatically as soon as their shield breaks. This does not apply to Overshield, but the main shield players usually top up to 100 on the blue bar. However, the Augment has a 40-second cooldown, which means players will need to escape the battle if it is activated and wait for a while to use it again.

The second leaked Augment is called Skill Check. This gives 50 HP and 25 Shield to a Looper who eliminates their opponent with a Common or Uncommon weapon. Although it works similarly to the Siphon mode in classic Fortnite, it grants more health and shield to the player if they eliminate their opponents with the required weapon tier.

The third leaked Augment is called the Siphon Shotgun. It brings back the playstyle of a classic Fortnite mode where players can heal across their HP and Shield if they damage their opponents with a Shotgun. The higher the damage, the more health and shield players gain throughout the match. This Augment might help players use the Shotguns more often this season.
