Fortnite has issued a unique challenge to players this week as one of the final opportunities to earn XP for Chapter 4, Season 1, by eliminating three opponents while being mounted.

Mounting isn't something many players are familiar with, but it's a pretty simple process, and then all they have to do is eliminate opponents. Here's everything about mounting and completing this challenge in Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 1.

Fortnite: How to mount and eliminate opponents?

Step 1: Open the game

As usual, the game needs to be opened first. Ordinarily, this could be done easily, but an update was released yesterday for v23.50. If this still needs to be installed on your device, you must update it first. If it has or it's auto-installed, you can go ahead and open Fortnite and wait for it to load up.

Step 2: Load into a new match

From the lobby, you must ensure you're on the correct account and proceed into matchmaking. Players can complete this challenge in any Battle Royale or Zero Build game mode. However, it's easiest to do so in Solo. Any elimination challenge is more straightforward in this mode because enemies don't get knocked down at all.

Step 3: Land in a wilderness spot

When you exit the battle bus, it's important to land in the correct location. Boars and wolves, which are currently the only mountable wildlife in the game, can spawn in grassy areas.

Those areas which are wooded are the best to look in. The ones marked above are good places to start, but any area with grass and trees is safe.

Step 4: Jump onto an animal

Boars and wolves are technically hostile, so ensure you get to them and tame them immediately. To do this, you need to jump onto their back. Aim properly, or else you will end up jumping beside them. Keep in mind that they are moving, and they might be moving fast.

Once you land on their backs, they are effectively tamed. You should see hearts come out of them. This indicates that they will now listen to you and be obedient.

Step 5: Find people

The most accessible place to do this well might be the bus route's very end. AFK players often land in the water there and are easy eliminations. However, it might take time to find the animal.

It may be more helpful to head into a POI and find players there. These are usually closer to where boars spawn than the off-map water.

From there, eliminate three players. This doesn't have to be done in a single match, so you can try again if needed.
