As far as monikers go, Fabricio Andrade certainly epitomizes his in-ring persona.

Aptly known as ‘Wonder Boy’, the Brazilian has exuded greatness in mixed martial arts and has already won the ONE bantamweight MMA world title at just 26 years old.

In an appearance on The MMA Superfan, Andrade fondly recalled how he got his fitting nickname. Turns out, it wasn’t a self-proclaimed act since he earned it by dazzling the audience in the early stages of his career:

“I got this nickname when I went to fight in Kazakhstan. And then I was 17 at that time and I was fighting an older guy and he was a very experienced opponent. Everybody was like, he was like two weights heavier than me and everybody was like impressed that I was taking the fight so they started calling me Wonder Boy.
"I kinda liked it, so it stuck with me until now.”

The Tiger Muay Thai and Evolve MMA standout embarks on his journey to greater heights on November 3, when he has a chance to join ONE’s prestigious ranks of two-sport world champions.

Standing in his way, however, is ONE bantamweight Muay Thai kingpin Jonathan Haggerty, who also wants to leave Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok with the ONE bantamweight kickboxing crown in tow.

This epic champion vs. champion showdown will indeed pit two of the best 145-pound strikers in the world, and we all can’t wait to see how it all unfolds at ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade on Prime Video.

The 10-fight spectacle will air live in US primetime free of charge for existing Prime Video subscribers in North America
