If there is one thing that you can’t deny or ever take away from Fabricio Andrade, it’s his unrelenting ambition.

Ever since he debuted with ONE Championship, the Brazilian was out to prove that he was the uncrowned king of the bantamweight division.

Earlier this year, at ONE Fight Night 7, he did just that by stopping John Lineker in their rematch at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium to claim the vacant ONE bantamweight MMA world title.

Instead of resting on his accomplishments and reaping the rewards of his success, ‘Wonder Boy’ went straight to work, focusing on the next target that is on his hit list.

When he returns to Lumpinee Stadium in the main event of ONE Fight Night 16, Andrade will look to become a two-sport world champion.

On Friday, November 3, two world champions will both look to accomplish the same feat by meeting each other for the vacant ONE kickboxing world championship.

ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Jonathan Haggerty stands in Andrade’s way but ‘Wonder Boy’ only sees this as the second step in accomplishing something greater under the ONE Championship banner.

Not only does the Brazilian want to beat the Brit for the vacant kickboxing title, he then wants to set his sights on facing Haggerty for a second time with the latter’s Muay Thai belt on the line.

In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Fabricio Andrade made his three sport world champion intentions clear, laying out his plan to stay active as a champion whilst chasing more gold:

“Yes, 100 percent. It makes sense. If I win the kickboxing belt, if I finish him, it'll take me one step closer to becoming a three-sport world champion. So, 100 percent I'll like to defend my two titles and try to get his Muay Thai strap.”
