After coming up short on two separate occasions, Thai standout Sinsamut Klinmee is determined to earn another opportunity against reigning ONE lightweight Muay Thai world champion Regian Eersel.

After scoring an impressive second-round knockout against Victor Teixeira at ONE Friday Fights 24 over the summer, Sinsamut Klinmee will look to make it two in a run when he runs it back with British striker Liam Nolan inside the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok. The pair first met at ONE 159 last year, with Sinsamut scoring another highlight-reel KO just five seconds into the second round.

With another win over Liam Nolan, the Thai star could potentially put himself in a position to once again challenge two-division titleholder Regian Eersesl. Speaking about a potential trilogy bout with the current lightweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion, ‘Aquaman’ made it clear that defeating ‘The Immortal’ is his top priority:

“Regian Eersel has become my motivation. I want to win against him. I know it’s hard. However, he’s become my goal, my challenge, and my purpose to train hard every day. I’d like to face him again if it’s possible.”

First meeting one another at ONE on Prime Video 3 in October 2022, Eersel narrowly escaped with a split decision over Sinsamut Klinmee. Given the close nature of the bout, the promotion immediately booked a rematch for ONE Friday Fights 9 in March. This time, Regian Eersel would make things much more decisive, earning a knockout in the fourth round to retain his title and seemingly close the books on their rivalry.

If Sinsamut Klinmee adds another impressive knockout to his resume at ONE Fight Night 16, will he earn himself another crack at Eersel?

Amazon Prime Video subscribers in North America can catch all the action at ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade on Prime Video live in U.S. primetime on November 3.
