Israel Adesanya is one of four City Kickboxing fighters set to fight on the UFC 281 card. Adesanya, Dan Hooker, Brad Riddell, Carlos Ulberg, and head coach Eugene Bareman sat down for an interview with ESPN MMA ahead of the fight. Things got on a lighter note between the middleweight champion and coach Bareman when they were asked a question.

Former UFC featherweight and title challenger Megan Anderson, now with ESPN MMA, asked the group who they believe is the messiest at the gym. The No.2-ranked pound-for-pound fighter was quick to respond to the question:

"Eugene [Bareman]. I don't room with this guy anymore, there's a reason. Look at my room right now, my bed is laid. Go have a look at his room right now, my bed is laid."

The City Kickboxing coach fired back at Adesanya:

"Kai [Kara-France] vowed not to room with you because you piss on the toilet seat constantly."

Adesanya continued to demand to compare rooms, while claiming that the incident with UFC flyweight Kai Kara-France took place during quarantine.

Israel Adesanya admits that UFC 281 is personal

Alex Pereira is the only fighter to knock out Israel Adesanya in his combat sports career, having done so in the middleweight champion's last career kickboxing fight. Additionally, he won on points in their first kickboxing matchup. Adesanya recently revealed that his sixth title defense is personal.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, 'Izzy' stated:

"It's personal because this is about me and my legacy. This is about re-writing history, even though it is history and I never chased this... Just showing people what I can really do, because, again, y'all must've forgot... He [Pereira] has bragging rights so let him do that, but, yeah, when it's time, I know something he doesn't."

Leading up to UFC 281, there have been plenty of people doubting Adesanya due to his two previous kickboxing losses to Pereira. He will look to avenge those losses, while his opponent will look to become the first middleweight to defeat Adesanya in a mixed martial arts fight.
