Israel Adesanya says he knows what to do to bring Alex Pereira a bloodbath at UFC 287

Israel Adesanya is out for blood against Alex Pereira, and the former champion is supremely confident that he will be able to reclaim the middleweight title at UFC 287 next weekend.

'The Last Stylebender' recently broke down his loss to Pereira at UFC 281 last year, and believes he will be able to finish 'Poatan' where he couldn't last time.

Adesanya had Pereira badly hurt with seconds left in round one of their previous fight, with the bell coming to the Brazilian's rescue. The former champion stated that he is aware of the necessary changes that need to be made in order to finish the job this time around.

In a recent video posted to his YouTube channel, Adesanya said:

"It's the hand, I blocked his eye. Boom. I hit it. Yeah, I know what to do. I know what to do next time."

Adesanya continued by saying that he hopes his upcoming bout against 'Poatan' will be a bloody affair. The former champion is hoping to paint his masterpiece on the octagon canvas using Pereira's blood in one of the most-anticipated rematches in middleweight history:

"If you can make him bleed you can kill him. But this one I want to make it a bloodbath. Like, I just get up and it's red from elbows. Just beating him lumpy..."

Israel Adesanya was handed his first defeat at 185 pounds by Alex Pereira, and will have a chance to avenge his loss in the main event of the upcoming pay-per-view in Miami, Florida.

Israel Adesanya reigned surpreme over the middleweight division from 2019 to 2022, and in that time he successfully defended the belt five times.

Ahead of his rematch with Alex Pereira in the main event of UFC 287, 'The Last Stylebender' has now revealed the shift in mindset that he has experienced. The former champion stated that he has gone from 'the hunted' to 'the hunter', and is fully confident that he will reclaim the title that he lost to Pereira at UFC 281 last year.

In a vlog uploaded to Adesanya's YouTube channel, he said this:

"I'm hunting, and I mean that in every sense of the word. The mindset is different, even Eugene [Bareman] and I are on the same page. The mindset is definitely different."
