At ONE Fight Night 16, Lito Adiwang is set to make a quick return to the circle to try and make up for all the lost time over the last couple of years.

Returning at ONE Friday Fights 34, the Filipino contender was able to put the incredibly difficult past year and a half behind him with a victory.

Stopping Adrian Mattheis in just 23 seconds, ‘Thunder Kid’ showed that he is well and truly back and ready to prove that he is better than ever.

With that in mind, there is no better opponent for him to face to prove that point than the last man to beat him.

At ONE: X last year, Jeremy Miado got his hand raised in his meeting with Adiwang, which led to the knee injury that kept 'Thunder Kid' out of competition for a year and a half.

On November 3 at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, the two Filipino fighters will run it back in a big match-up for the strawweight division.

While he is confident that he has grown as a fighter during his time away from competition, Lito Adiwang is also aware that he needs to expect a better Miado this time around.

Since his victory at ONE: X, ‘The Jaguar’ went on to stop Danial Williams before having his win streak halted by rising contender Mansur Malachiev, who recently came up short in a No.1 contender’s match-up.

In an interview with ONE Championship, ‘Thunder Kid’ spoke about the developments that Miado has made in his career that he will have to try and provide a counter to if he is to get his hand raised in the rematch:

“Jeremy’s boxing truly got better. We’ve seen him use that to perfection in his previous fights. He uses his range well, he uses that height to his advantage. That’s something that has become his bread and butter in his previous fights. This time I’ve got to figure out a way to break his rhythm.”

ONE Fight Night 16 will air live in US primetime free of charge for existing Prime Video subscribers in North America.
