UFC middleweight contender Paulo Costa recently lived up to his 'Meme God' title and took a shot at fellow fighter and internet troll Dillon Danis. Both men are known for their caustic comments and unfiltered takes on social media, and while some fans appreciate their online trolling, others find them offensive.

It's not uncommon for 'Borrachinha' to post memes and jokes about his MMA peers, and the Brazilian recently used Danis' usual pre-fight 'giveaway' tweet to mock the Bellator fighter's tradition.

For context, Dillon Danis has a habit of posting a tweet before most high-profile fights, promising a sum of money to anyone who likes his tweet and follows them if their pick wins the fight.

Ahead of the highly anticipated middleweight clash between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira, Paulo Costa decided to tear a page out of the Dillon Danis playbook and use it to troll the jiu-jitsu savant. The Brazilian copied Danis' style of announcing his giveaway but added a twist, the winner musn't be following Danis.

Betting on Pereira to beat Adesanya, Costa offered one of his followers $2000 if 'The Last Stylebender' knocked out ' Poatan,' stating:

"If Israel Adesanya knocks out Alex Pereira I will give one person who doesn’t follow Dillon Danis $2000. Must be following @BorrachinhaMMA to win. Thanks my marketing mind @rick_doobs."

Israel Adesanya vs. Alex Pereira: Paulo Costa posts fake news about 'The Last Stylebender' pulling out of UFC 287

In true Paulo Costa fashion, the self-proclaimed 'Meme God' recently fooled many of his followers and MMA fans on Twitter after posting a funny bit of fake news about Israel Adesanya.

The Nigerian-born Kiwi is set to rematch his long-time rival Alex Pereira on April 9 at UFC 287. While fans eagerly await the fourth combat sports meeting between the two rivals, 'Borrachinha' saw the perfect opportunity to troll them hilariously.

Costa posted a realistic looking news poster of Israel Adesanya pulling out of his fight. However, while fans were initially shocked by the first two lines of the text, the joke soon became obvious due to the absurdity of the injury cited.

Not one to sit back and take it, Adesanya soon fired back at the Brazilian with a tweet of his own. Referring to the infamous clip of their fight against each other, the former middleweight champion stated:

"Lol, my cl*t would be bigger than your d*ck. You remember…"
