Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira will face each other at UFC 281 in New York City this weekend. This is the first time the two archrivals will be competing in an MMA fight, with the two previous occasions resulting in Pereira getting the better of Adesanya in the sport of kickboxing.

On a recent episode of UFC 281 Embedded: Vlog Series, 'Poatan' was seen driving around in a vehicle with his two sons, Lohan and Alessandro, discussing his upcoming bout against Adesanya.

Interestingly, Lohan claimed that they were going to watch their father beat "another guy," with Alessandro quickly adding that they were going to watch their father defeat "the same guy for the third time."

Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira last faced each other in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 2017 at the Glory of Heroes 7 kickbboxing promotion, where Pereira got the better of Adesanya by knocking him out in round-three.

Prior to this, Pereira had also defeated 'The Last Stylebender' at Glory of Heroes 1 via unanimous decision in Shenzhen, China, back in 2016.

With quite a bit of history between them, the stakes are high for both the middleweight fighters as they not only face each other for the first time in an MMA bout, but also decide who will leave New York with the middleweight title.

Israel Adesanya reacts to a video of Alex Pereira's son humourously mocking him after getting knocked out

Israel Adesanya will be looking to defend his middleweight title for the sixth time at UFC 281 in a highly anticipated matchup against Alex Pereira.

Recently, 'The Last Stylebender' sat down to talk about his upcoming title defense with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour. During the interview, Adesanya was asked about the famous video of Pereira's son jokingly mimicking him being knocked out after his last fight at Glory of Heroes 7 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 2017.

The Nigerian-born Kiwi seemed to see the humor in the mimicry and laughed it off, saying, "What am i going to do? Stomp his head?." When asked if he thought Pereira's sons would attend the fight on Saturday, Adesanya replied:

"I don't know, it doesn't bother me, if he's there I hope he's older now."
