Tye Ruotolo torn between ‘the best of the best’ Jonathan Haggerty and Fabricio Andrade: “They both have a lot of power”

At ONE Fight Night 16, Tye Ruotolo is set to return to the circle for his biggest matchup to date under the ONE Championship banner.

The 20-year-old competitor is no stranger to big marquee bouts since signing with the promotion, but this contest is different. On November 3, at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, Ruotolo will face Magomed Abdulkadirov for the inaugural ONE welterweight submission grappling world championship.

But, that’s not it for world championship contests on the card as the main event features a dream matchup between two of the most exciting strikers in the world.

Dripping in championship gold, both Fabricio Andrade and Jonathan Haggerty will try to leave Lumpinee as a two-sport world champion when they clash in the final contest of the evening.

Everyone knows how dangerous both the bantamweight MMA and the bantamweight Muay Thai world champions can be but how will they both fare outside of their comfort zones in the kickboxing ruleset?

‘Wonder Boy’ Andrade has proven himself to be one of the best strikers on the entire MMA roster right now with a devastating eye for a finish. That being said, competing in your first striking-only contest against a competitor with the pedigree of ‘The General’ is no easy task.

In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Tye Ruotolo gave his thoughts on this high-stakes showdown in one of the best pairings of the year in ONE Championship:

“I don't know how it's going to go, I really don't, you know. They both have a lot of power in their hands and I know Jonathan, he's the best of the best right now at what he does right? And so is Fabricio.”
