ONE Championship's resident Muay Thai action star, Britain's Liam Harrison, may seem like a brawling bruiser who throws technique out the window every time. However, casual observers would easily miss the fact that 'The Hitman' is a tactical genius who's head and shoulders above his peers.

Fighting in the pro leagues for the first time all the way back in the 90s, Liam Harrison has unmatched knowledge in the game today. One of his most effective tactical weapons is subtle set-ups and feints that even seasoned strikers would miss.

In one of his recent instructional videos online, Harrison demonstrated how break an opponent's tight guard:

Muay Thai is a game of inches and Harrison understands this deeply. He sees micro-moments and tiny mistakes like he has a slow-motion vision. In this instructional, 'The Hitman' uses a set-up perfectly to jar his opponent's perception. He then utilizes this smokes-and-mirrors tactic to land a sneaky strike inside.

At the moment, Liam Harrison is recovering from an extensive knee surgery last year. At ONE on Prime Video 1, the fighting Brit lost his world title shot against former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama. He suffered a nasty knee injury eating a nasty leg kick from the Thai former world champion that instantaneously incapacitated him.

It's been more than a year since the injury and subsequent surgery and Harrison has been making major improvements in his rehab process. At this point, he is almost ready to get back into fight camp. We can't wait to see 'The Hitman' make his long-awaited return inside the Circle once again.
