There are rare fights in combat sports where both fighters reach higher elevations, and one such meeting happened between Jo Nattawut and Luke Lessei.

The pair of hard-hitting strikers met in a featherweight Muay Thai contest that quickly became the best fight in the ONE Fight Night 17 card.

Nattawut and Lessei cooked up a storm that had the crowd inside the hallowed Lumpinee Boxing Stadium shouting with every strike, parry, and combination.

It was such a thrilling contest, that ONE Championship decided to relive the insanity on Instagram.

The promotion posted:

"UNLOADED 👊 Will Jo Nattawut's determination lead him to a ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Title Victory over Tawanchai at ONE 167 on Prime Video? 🏆 @jonattawut."

Nattawut's December 2023 duel against Lessei was one of the closest fights under the ONE Championship of that year, and the barnburner greatly elevated both fighters to new heights.

Lessei is now one of the top Muay Thai stars on the planet, while Nattawut used that absolute brawl against 'The Chef' as a major boost to his world title aspirations.

Nattawut, the division's number three contender, is now set for a shot at the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title against Tawanchai PK Saenchai at ONE 167 on June 7 at Impact Arena.

'Smokin'' Jo's world title challenge against Tawanchai, and the entire ONE 167 card, is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.

The Thai superstar will always put on an exciting fight against whoever is in front of him.

Nattawut is a true entertainer whenever he competes, and that aggressive style led him to take six wins and three knockouts in ONE Championship.

In an interview with the promotion, the 34-year-old said:
