On January 10, 2024, the winners of the Circle Chart Music Awards 2024 were revealed, and the Artist of the Year – Physical Album award went to 26-year-old Jungkook, the Golden Maknae of BTS, for the international smash hit album, GOLDEN.

It is important to note that alongside the Artist of the Year – Physical Album award, the youngest member of BTS also won the Artist of the Year (Global Streaming) award for his solo debut single, Seven (Explicit Ver.), and the Artist of the Year (Digital) award for Seven (Clean Ver.).

This achievement is even more significant as he is the first solo artist to win the Artist of the Year – Physical Album award in the Circle Chart Music Awards in the last four years. Fans were extremely proud of the artist's latest victories and congratulated him on X, and wrote:

"So iconic": Fans rejoice as two renditions of Jungkook's solo single Seven won the Circle Chart Music Awards

The Golden Maknae, BTS' Jungkook, seems relentless in his quest for accolades, even while he completes his necessary military duty. It is a well-deserved accomplishment for Jungkook to become the first solo performer to win three crowns at the Circle Chart Music Awards.

Numerous performers, including SEVENTEEN, NewJeans, IVE, NCT DREAM, (G)I-DLE, and others, won many prizes. However, it meant considerably more to ARMYs (BTS fandom) as Jungkook was one of these musicians who took home many trophies. Notably, Jungkook is also the first and only K-pop solo artist to have won multiple Artist of the Year (AOTY) awards at the Circle Chart Music Awards, setting an unseen precedent.

Jungkook's debut solo single, Seven (feat. Latto), was released on July 14, 2023. Since then, it has bagged almost every award that year such as MTV Video Music Awards Song of Summer, Billboard Music Awards Top K-Pop Global Song, and MTV Europe Music Awards Best Song as well as the category of Best K-Pop Song.

Nevertheless, fans showered praises on the superstar, lauding him as he consistently bags trophy after trophy ever since he set sail as a solo artist.

On top of that, he also won awards at the 2023 Melon Music Awards for the categories Best Male Solo, Millions Top 10, and Top 10 (Bonsang) for his song Seven and solo album, GOLDEN. The debut solo single, Seven, has won several awards in Inkigayo, MCountdown, and more, since its release.

Jungkook's Seven is a pre-release from his debut solo album, GOLDEN, which he released on November 3, 2023. The full-length solo album has 11 English tracks produced by music heavyweights such as Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, DJ Snake, and more. Meanwhile, Seven (feat. Latto) (Explicit Ver.) has over 1.29 billion (1,294,218,105) Spotify streams at the time of writing this article.

The honorees of the 2023 Circle Chart Music Awards were determined by the overall popularity of songs and albums on the Circle Chart between December 1, 2022, and November 30, 2023. The event was held on January 10, 2024, at BEXCO in Busan.

The Korea Music Content Association presents the Circle Chart Music Awards, formerly known as the Gaon Chart Music Awards, every year in South Korea. The awards are given out mainly on the basis of songs' and albums' sales figures as determined by the national music record chart, the Circle Chart.
