The Midnight Romance in Hagwon episodes 3 and 4, recap: Jung Ryeo-won and Wi Ha-joon face an unexpected crisis in their joint class

Following the third episode of The Midnight Romance in Hagwon, Lee Jun-ho (Wi Ha-joon) came up with a plan to team up with Seo Hye-jin to promote Daechi Chase Academy in three ways, focusing on advertisements, classes, and the curriculum with an eye-catching story. Although Seo Hye-jin rejected Lee Jun-ho’s suggestion and meticulous plan to focus on a particular school to attract students from, she immediately got on board.

They prepare hard to hold a joint class where they give out new materials showcasing their strategy of teaching and learning. On D-Day, the two teachers did not see an unexpected crisis coming their way. In the fourth episode of The Midnight Romance in Hagwon, Lee Jun-ho and Seo Hye-jin waited almost an hour for the students to come to their joint class. Unfortunately, no one except one top student from Daechi Choisun Academy, a rival institute, turned up.

Lee Si-woo is a model student known for his good grades who was approached by a teacher studying at the Daechi Choisun Academy to spy on the teaching approach and tactics used by Seo Hye-jin and Lee Jun-ho. Furthermore, the reason behind only one student coming to the joint lecture was a surprise lecture held on the same day by Daechi Choisun Academy.

Seo Hye-jin got extremely stressed out because of the outcome of their promotions and got a nosebleed due to the situation. Following this scene, Lee Jun-ho is seen asking her to be prepared for teaching Lee Si-woo. In that moment, she is reminded of all the encouraging words Lee Jun-ho had said to her previously.

She mustered up her courage and decided to teach him in her classic way: one-on-one tutoring. The Midnight Romance in Hagwon is garnering attention for its brewing romance between the main characters. Focusing on the wholesome moments shared between the characters, the fourth episode showcased some memories shared between them.

While she taught Lee Si-woo the stories of popular author Park Wan-suh, Lee Jun-ho had a flashback of her teaching him one-on-one ten years ago. He is reminded of how he fell in love with Seo Hye-jin while being her student.

Despite just one student attending the lecture, Seo Hye-jin demonstrated her skill as a veteran instructor. Later, Lee Si-woo was seen chatting with his fellow academy students about his experience attending Daechi Chase Academy’s joint lecture. While the academy students were not satisfied with the surprise lecture at the Daechi Choisun Academy, Lee Si-woo expressed his thoughts, saying he enjoyed the class and might as well move to Daechi Chase Academy.
