Thelma the Unicorn, an animated musical comedy, arrived on Netflix on Friday, May 17, 2024. The adventure comedy is based on Aaron Blabey's children's book series of the same name. The screenplay for the movie is written by Jerusha and Jared Hess. Jared also directed the movie with Lynn Wang.

She receives her first break when an accident with paint and glitter makes her look like a unicorn. After getting fame through this disguise, her competitors and enemies try to bust the secret to bring her down. At some point in Thelma the Unicorn, she realizes she needs to accept herself as she is.
She lands on the stage dressed as a unicorn but takes off her disguise before the audience comes clean. Initially rejected, the audience soon responded positively to her talent. She even manages to win over her biggest competitor.
