Singer John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen found themselves embroiled in an online controversy after a video of them allegedly making three women leave a photo booth to take pictures circulated on social media. The incident occurred during the 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue launch party at Hard Rock Cafe in New York on May 16.

One of the women alleged they waited over 30 minutes to take their pictures in the photo booth, only to be rushed by John Legend and Chrissy Teigen.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen's photobooth video went viral on X

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are one of Hollywood's most popular couples, having made appearances at several events and award shows together. The parents of four were at the 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue launch party on Thursday when they ran into an awkward situation.

In the now-deleted video recorded by Winta Zesu and posted on TikTok, three women, including Zesu, are seen posing in front of the photo booth camera when they are interrupted by Legend, who says offscreen, "We're gonna sneak in."

According to Complex, the singer then walks in with his wife and the couple waits for Vicky Zesu, Winta's sister, who was also in the video, to send the pictures to herself and delete the rest.

In an extended video on Winta's Instagram page, Teigen seemingly appears visibly annoyed as she fixes her hair and even pushes her husband away when he tries to kiss her.

As the clip continues, the couple are seen posing for their photobooth pictures and then leaving. However, the night seemingly did not end sour as Vicky Zesu posted a picture of herself with Legend on her Instagram page.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have been married for over a decade

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen's love story began when the pair met on the set of the former's music video for Stereo, in which the then-20-year-old Teigen played his love interest. In an interview with Wendy Williams, Teigen said:

“We spent the entire day together, me in my underwear and him in a full suit, and I went to go say goodbye to him, to his hotel, and we didn't ever say goodbye that night.”

In December 2011, John Legend proposed to Teigen while vacationing in the Maldives. The couple tied the knot in Lake Como, Italy, on September 14, 2013.

According to Elle, they had their first child, Luna Simone Stephens, in April 2016 via in vitro fertilization and their second child, Miles Theodore, in May 2018.

In 2020, the couple were expecting their third child when Teigen, unfortunately, underwent a miscarriage after experiencing complications with her pregnancy. That didn't stop her from trying for another child again in 2022, and Teigen gave birth to her second daughter, Esti Maxine Stephens, in January 2023.

In an Instagram post, Teigen explained her dream of having four children, saying:

"For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted four children. As a little girl, 2 glow worms and 2 cabbage patch dolls were perpetually in my arms, helping me stir in my kitchen, watching Alf with me. We’d sleep together nightly, each getting the same amount of kisses as to not make the others jealous."

This came as the couple announced they had their fourth child, Wren Alexander Stephens, via surrogacy on June 19, 2023.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend renewed their vows in a ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, for their 10th anniversary.
