Singer Lana Del Rey was spotted using a fan's vape before headlining at the Hangout Festival in Alabama on May 18. Fans stopped the Summertime Sadness singer on her way to the stage and supposedly offered their vape to her.

In the video captured by fans and circulated on social media, Lana Del Rey can be seen declining at first, saying:

“No, I can’t.”

But she seemingly changes her mind and reaches over to pull a drag from the vape, before climbing onto the stage.

The video was met with mixed responses from her fans, with people criticizing her for using a stranger's vape. One person tweeted:

"oh she’s gonna catch something."
"mother ily but you shoudnt be using strangers vapes," tweeted a fan.

Some fans dubbed the situation "nasty" and expressed concern for the singer's continued use of vapes despite its harmful effects.

"Notice how she’s promoting unhealthy life by vaping oh," one person tweeted.
"Omg that nasty though," chimed in another.

However, some fans found the humor in the situation, joking about using a vape so they could share it with her.

"gonna start vaping just so one day lana can hit my vape too," said one fan.
"her vaping addiction literally makes me die laughing idec," chimed in another.

According to Rolling Stone, Lana Del Rey paid homage to Lynyrd Skynyrd by performing Sweet Home Alabama with Jelly Roll at the Hangout Festival. Other special guests who joined her include Tommy Genesis, Benson Boone, and Nessa Barrett.

Lana Del Rey is currently working on her 10th studio album

Lana Del Rey fans have something to look forward to as her tenth studio album, Lasso, will come out in September 2024. Del Rey told the audience at the Billboard and NMPA Songwriter Awards in Los Angeles on January 31 that the new album will see her explore country music.

”If you can’t already tell by our award winners and our performers, the music business is going country. We’re going country. It’s happening. That’s why Jack [Antonoff] has followed me to Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Mississippi, over the last four years,” she said.

The new album follows Lana Del Rey's 2023 LP Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, which hit No.3 on the Billboard 200 chart and was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2024 Grammy, an honor that Taylor Swift took home for her 10th studio album, Midnights.

Swift pulled Del Rey up on stage with her to receive the award as the latter had collaborated on the album for the track Snow On The Beach.

According to Billboard, Lasso will be her fourth album in three and a half years, following Chemtrails over the Country Club and Blue Bannisters in 2021 and Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd in 2023.

Lana Del Rey and Jack Antonoff have collaborated on multiple projects, including Lasso. Del Rey described the producer as “one in a million,” adding that his “instincts are unique. And apparently award-winning.”

In a February 2024 interview with Vulture, Antonoff recalled the vibe in the studio when the two worked together, adding:

“I was with her the other day and we just went to the studio and started messing around. It’s very loose. The music can be so incredibly serious, and we just end up trolling each other and being funny the whole time.”

In other news, Lana Del Rey headlined Coachella for the first time in 2024, performing on April 12 and April 19, a decade after her first performance at the music festival in 2014.
