In the build up to the 25th Royal Rumble match, scheduled to be held on January 29th, 2012, we have revisited the first four Royal Rumble matches so far. The fifth Royal Rumble match took place on January 19, 1992 at the Knickerbocker Arena in Albany, New York. Here are some important facts about this match:
- This was the only Royal Rumble match which had the WWF Championship as the incentive to the winner.
- Ric Flair entered this match at number 3 and won this match by eliminating Sid Justice.
- Ric Flair also set the record for longevity as he lasted a mind-blowing 59 minutes and 26 seconds.
- Sid Justice earned the distinction of eliminating the most number of participants in this match (6).
