Now, let us take a look at the fourteenth Royal Rumble match that took place on January 21, 2001 at the New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Here are some important facts about this match:
- Stone Cold Steve Austin won the Royal Rumble match for the third time in his career – A record still unbroken.
- Stone Cold entered the match at #27 and won by last eliminating Kane.
- Kane went on a rampage during the match and eliminated 11 men – A record which stands till date.
- Kane also lasted the longest (53 minutes) in the match only to be eliminated by eventual winner Stone Cold.
- Television Celebrity Drew Carey was a participant in this Royal Rumble match. However, he did not have any impact on the match as he eliminated himself after being intimidated by Kane.
