We are just a week away from the 25th anniversary of the Royal Rumble match, which is to be held on January 29th, 2012 at Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. We have revisited eighteen Royal Rumble matches over the past few weeks. Now, let us take a look at the nineteenth Royal Rumble match which took place on January 29, 2006 in the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida.

Here are some important facts about this match:

• Rey Mysterio won the match by eliminating Randy Orton.
• Rey Mysterio is only the second participant to win the Royal Rumble after entering the match second. (The other being Vince McMahon)
• Rey Mysterio broke several records en-route to his victory. He set the record for longevity in a rumble match by lasting One hour, 2 minutes and 12 seconds.
• He also made the most number of eliminations – six.
• Several superstars like Rob Van Dam, Tatanka, Goldust and Road Warrior Animal made their return through this match.
