Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan has dismissed Malky Mackay’s right-hand man Iain Moody and to further make things worse for his coach, has replaced him with his son’s friend Alisher Apsalyamov, who himself claims to have no prior experience in football on a social networking site .
Apsalyamov, the inexperienced 23-year-old from Kazakhstan, will from now on act as the Head of Recruitment for Cardiff City, according to Metro. Moody, who spent two years with Mackay as his backroom staff, was widely credited for the landing of marquee signings such as Steven Caulker, Chilean Gary Medel, Dane Andreas Cornelius and Fraizer Campbell which sparked a major upheaval in the club’s fortunes.
In what is turning out to be shock over turn of events, the Cardiff City boss is left stunned by the ouster of someone who has been integral to the club’s success. This unforeseen development comes shortly after reports of tensions between the club’s players and the owner surfaced.
Its not just the coach and the players, Tan also sparked rage among the club’s fans by altering the primary colour from blue to red besides modifying the club’s crest.
