Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino have been named as the Barclays Premier League player and manager of the month for October.
This is the first time Aguero has won this award. Sergio has scored four impressive goals including a brace against West Ham and goals against Everton and Chelsea in three games for Manchester City.
City have the league’s best attacking record this season, and Aguero finds himself as joint top-scorer on eight goals, alongside Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge.
Aguero fended off competition from Adam Lallana, Olivier Giroud and Eden Hazard.
Southampton manager, Mauricio Pochettino has led his team to a seven-point haul in three games.
Pochettino has been bringing the best out of his squad, with Jay Rodriguez, Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert all named in Roy Hodgson’s England squad on Thursday.
The Saint’s boss beat Arsene Wenger, Brendan Rodgers and Jose Mourinho to win this award.
