Fulham have made their second signing of the day by completing the signing of Olympiakos striker Konstantinos Mitroglou. The Greek striker signs for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £12.5 million, and joins Tottenham’s Lewis Holtby in making a deadline day move to Craven Cottage.
The Cottagers upped their interest in Mitroglou earlier in the week, but almost missed out on the 25 year old due to a rival offer from London rivals West Ham. However the Greek international chose to move to Fulham instead and has signed a four and a half year deal at the club. Mitroglou has three goals in five Champions League games this season and has scored 41 goals during his 86 game Olympiakos career.
He became manager Rene Meulensteen’s second signing of the day, following hot on the heels of Tottenham winger Holtby. The German international has joined the club on a loan deal until the end of the season.
