Undertaker, WrestleMania, Streak, Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman: do the creative need anything more to make a match of the year contender at the granddaddy of them all?

After all those months of waiting in dismay, all those factors finally came together this week on Raw setting up the stage for a potential classic for WrestleMania. Though there are doubts over Undertaker’s ability to produce a physical match against Lesnar, one has to admit that with the frequency (one to be precise) of matches that he has every year, he is going to make it count no matter what.

Lesnar meanwhile will be looking to make a bigger impact than last year when he squared off against Triple H. Objectives apart, even though a simple one fall match between the two could be interesting, an added stipulation will clearly take the match to a different level.

WWE’s family friendly conversion might restrict the stipulated match from being more violent but with these two in the ring we wouldn’t want a blood bath to enjoy a great match. So let’s take a look at the five possible stipulations that could be added to the Lesnar- Undertaker match to make it more intriguing.

5 – MMA style Match

The history

Many of the Internet fans wouldn’t have forgotten that about four years ago, Lesnar and Taker had some friction over at UFC 121. Taker openly challenged Lesnar for a match back then the five million people who saw the video in YouTube had to wait four years for that match to materialize.

So why not make it in Lesnar’s territory to make things much worse for Taker?

Having an MMA style match between Taker and Lesnar at WrestleMania would be something different to add to Taker’s streak. The match inside an octagon will attract some UFC fans to WrestleMania as well and since it’s not Taker’s everyday outing, the streak will have a greater threat.

The steel surrounding could also prove to be punishing for both men as well opening up a great match. and the possibility of Taker getting a KO win addition to his streak makes this one more significant.

4 – Casket Match

Time to Rest in Peace

The best way to book this match would be to make Lesnar challenge Taker. Lesnar calling out Taker to his own backyard is sure to scorch the excitement levels. Some great mic work from Heyman is going to convince the people that Taker will finally rest in peace inside the casket at WrestleMania.

After such a buildup, the match could end up being a great one since Taker has immense experience in this scenario. Lesnar’s inexperience would make him more unpredictable with Heyman complementing both wrestlers with some well-timed interference.

Heyman himself could end up in the casket to save Lesnar which will make the match more dramatic. The fact that the last casket match that Taker had at WrestleMania didn’t go well will make this one a face saver for the company as well.

Lesnar and Heyman inside one Casket and Taker using his supernatural powers to throw in a thunder to it could be a great finale to the 22-0 celebration also.

3 – Hell in a Cell

Repeating history

One of the obvious choices to put Taker in, the Hell in a Cell match is sure to leach out the last ounce of energy in both men. Possibilities with Taker and Lesnar trapped inside a Cell as endless as each men could tear apart the flesh and bones with the weapons at their disposal.

Paul Heyman trying to make interferences through the Cell would be a nice scene to see. Top of the Cell also takes us back to the Mick Foley match that Undertaker had back in the good days.

Though Lesnar wouldn’t take such a bump to pop the crowd, the top of the cell would provide some nail biting moments for the fans.

Taker however needs to be wisely in this one as it has the potential to cut short his career due to the sheer danger that is involved with the Hell in a cell scenario.

2 – If Taker Loses he retires

Paul Heyman being the businessman he is, could brag that Lesnar is a bigger star than Taker. Making his point clear Heyman could say that “Lesnar doesn’t fight for free and the streak isn’t big enough for him”. This is going to force Taker to put something bigger on the line and there won’t be anything bigger than his career.

Having Taker’s career on the line is a sure ticket seller no matter how old he is as fans will be coming with the expectation of witnessing a historic moment.

Lesnar being the dominant beast could easily make it happen as well thus leaving Taker in some kind of precarious situation.

Threat to the career and streak will make this one a big hit and the lack of any violent stipulations will also make this one safe for prolonging Taker’s stay in the business.

Welcome to hell

Lesnar has the Kimura Lock which broke the arm of many big names like Shawn Michaels, Triple H etc. and Undertaker has the Hell’s gate which made many other big names split blood.

So it would only be a logical decision to have a submission match between these two right?

Well it’s more interesting that if we think it through. Imagine Undertaker winning the match with a broken arm. Unwilling to give up Taker could end up breaking his arm against Lesnar only to see him go the distance and win the match.

Taker’s projected dedication and determination to keep the streak alive will be an instant classic among the fans. Lesnar gasping for breath in the Hell’s gate by a broken arm will also ring bells among the fans as the Submission match promises to be a stellar without the bloodshed.
