Aaron Lennon: A Brief Biography

Aaron Justin Lennon is an English footballer from (Leeds) England, who plays as a right winger in the Premier League for Tottenham Hotspur and the England national team. He was first spotted by the scouts at the age of eight. Aaron Lennon became a member of the Leeds United Academy in 2001 and was one of the star performers in Leeds first season of the Championship. Lennon scored his only goal for Leeds against Sunderland on Boxing Day 2004 during a 3–2 win. On 15 June 2005, Lennon made a £1 million move to Tottenham Hotspur. Lennon scored his first Premier League goal in Tottenham\'s 2–0 victory over Birmingham City on 18 March 2006. Lennon won both the Tottenham Hotspur \'Player of the Season\' and the \'Young Player of the Season\' award in the 2008–09 season. So far he has made 203 appearences and scored 26 goals for the club. Internationally, Lennon was called up to the England U-21 team for the first time in October 2005. He was named \'Man of the match\' in the England B match with Belarus on 25 May 2006 in England\'s World Cup warm-up match at the Madejski Stadium in Reading, Berkshire. He is one of the fastest players in the Premier League and his performance till date perfectly describes his pace and excellent skill.
