Before being a part of the senior team, Das was called for the U19 team to play in the 2012 AFC U19 Championship qualifiers. He was called again for the U23 format of the same championship in 2012.
Debut
Narayan Das made his debut in professional football after signing with Pailan Arrows (club in I-League) in 2012 at the age of 19. Playing in the 2012-2013 season, Das made 22 appearances for the team before it dismantled in 2013. Consequently, Das was transferred to Dempo for the next two seasons. However he spent most of this time playing for FC Goa in ISL where he was transferred on loan.
