Like any other major promotion, AEW takes legal matters involving the arrests of its professional wrestlers very seriously. That's why many stars do their best to follow company policy and especially try their best not to get in trouble with the law.
However, there have been a few instances where some of the promotion's professional athletes have had a run-in with the law. So, here we are, looking at the AEW stars who have been either arrested or have spent some time in jail.is
Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho is one of the top veteran professional wrestling stars currently performing in AEW. The former WWE star has established a reputation as a mentor and locker-room leader in the young promotion.

However, his 2010 arrest for public intoxication alongside Shane Helms didn't help his image as a veteran. Jericho eventually paid a $120 bond for his release and apologized for his actions.
Since then, he has continued to make great waves in his professional wrestling career and has consistently reinvented himself throughout his time in AEW.
AEW's new signee MVP
MVP's story is one of redemption concerning his arrest back when he was young. He spent his youth affiliated with street gangs, which led to him getting arrested and serving a six-month sentence in a juvenile detention center for being involved in a robbery.
However, that wasn't MVP's last run-in with the law, as he was arrested for armed robbery and kidnapping. He would then spend nine and a half years of an 18-year sentence before getting released.
MVP then would go on a journey and enjoy an illustrious career in professional wrestling in various promotions, including WWE and TNA Wrestling. The veteran recently joined AEW with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin as the figurehead of The Hurt Syndicate and intends to usher in a new era of pain with his faction.
Cash Wheeler
As one-half of one of the best tag teams on the All Elite roster, FTR, Cash Wheeler has enjoyed considerable success within the company. However, that success was put into jeopardy after he was arrested for an alleged road rage incident last year, 2023.
Cash Wheeler was arrested in Orange County and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm after he allegedly pointed a gun at a motorist. All the charges were eventually dropped in May before he went on trial this year, but his arrest led to him almost immediately considering retirement.
Since then, he and his tag team partner, Dax Harwood, have been active in ALl Elite Wrestling and intend to retire together after their contracts expire. It would've been a shame to see one of the best modern tag teams end this way.
