Adam Copeland has been absent from AEW TV for around six months now after sustaining an injury. The Rated-R Superstar has been on his journey to healing and wants to return to the ring soon.

Adam Copeland is one of the biggest stars in the AEW roster and Tony Khan and the company need to avoid the following mistakes with him to keep him on top of their chain:

#3. Having Adam Copeland feud with Christian Cage in AEW once again

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage enjoyed one of the best feuds in AEW this year. The two former best friends gave their fans a fun time passing the TNT Championship back and forth and giving many twists and turns in their storyline.

The feud has more or less culminated after their over-the-top "I Quit" Match on Dynamite. The two veteran performers put all of it on the line to entertain the fans in a thrilling brawl, with Copeland coming out victorious.

Now the promotion needs to let this rivalry cool off and let both these stars do their own things rather than forcing them to 'fight forever' already. Because the thought of another match happening anytime soon wouldn't be received positively by the fans.

#2. Turning Adam Copeland heel soon after his return

Adam Copeland is still very much enjoying the high of competing amongst fans. He should therefore be allowed to continue on a babyface run instead of forcing him down a darker path.

Even though we all very much know that Copeland would play a fantastic heel as evidenced by his past character work in his professional wrestling career. He is currently shining as a babyface.

If a heel turn is to be made it should be given time to play out and let a story be developed instead of being made abruptly, especially on his return from a long injury layoff.

#3. Delaying a feud with Jon Moxley

Adam Copeland needs a feud to sink his teeth into and what could be better than having him feud instantly with the current AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley? The Rated-R Superstar has enjoyed some time competing for the TNT Championship and deserves to move up and grab an opportunity at the World Title.

Moxley has been running riot on the AEW roster with the help of his faction, the Death Riders. A feud between Copeland and Moxley could begin once the latter targets him as well and ignites an intensely personal feud filled with aggression and brutality towards each other.

We'll have to wait and see if Tony Khan books this dream feud for the fans upon Copeland's return or not.
