Bryan Danielson is currently nearing the end of his current AEW contract, and this would mean his time with the Blackpool Combat Club may also come to an end, or he could remain an honorary member of the faction.
Since its formation, the BCC has kept its four original members, Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta. They were formerly managed by William Regal, but he has since then signed back with WWE.
Should Bryan Danielson become less active within the promotion, there may be a need for a replacement to keep the faction's numbers strong. Here are three potential candidates for a perfect fourth member of the group.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#1. Daniel Garcia could finally join the Blackpool Combat Club
Back in late 2022, one major storyline featuring Daniel Garcia was his internal struggle as to whether he was a professional wrestler or sports entertainer. Two factions were after him at the time, the Blackpool Combat Club and the Jericho Appreciation Society. He ended up choosing the latter.
It is possible that after MJF attacked him, something snapped deep inside him and he went down a road as a much more dangerous individual. The BCC will be the perfect environment for him in this case.
Bryan Danielson has always been vocal about wanting Daniel Garcia in the faction, and he could be his replacement once he heads toward retirement.
But in the end, this will all depend on whether Garcia re-signs with the company, with reports on his future still labeling this as uncertain, the BCC may lose out on him once again.
#2. Buddy Matthews finds his new home
Buddy Matthews has recently re-signed a long-term deal with AEW. But his future with the House of Black may not be guaranteed.
The leader of the faction Malakai Black is nearing the latter stages of his current deal. This was reported to be running into 2025, with no specific mentions of when in the year this will end. Should this be early into the year, he could end up leaving the company for WWE.
This would be the perfect chance for them to build up a way for the House of Black to come to an end, seeing as their leader may not even be around for long. Buddy Matthews could fit well into the Blackpool Combat Club. His fighting style and unhinged demeanor will earn him a spot in the group.
#3. Eddie Kingston finally lets bygones be bygones
Eddie Kingston has feuded with members of the Blackpool Combat Club on multiple occasions but has also shown that he can show respect to them.
The Mad King has been long-time friends with Jon Moxley, something that has been established in AEW for some time now. But they have also not gotten along on several occasions. The same goes with Bryan Danielson, but the two have gotten along now and were even supposed to be on the same side for the Anarchy in the Arena match which only ceased to happen due to Eddie's injury.
One member of the faction with whom Eddie Kingston has been bitter enemies is Claudio Castagnoli, and this goes on until this day. Should the two sort things out, Kingston could be a great replacement for Bryan Danielson in the Blackpool Combat Club. His demeanor and his unhinged behavior at times are a great fit for the faction.
At this point, it remains to be seen whether the Blackpool Combat Club decides to replace Bryan Danielson should he leave or be less active with the faction. This could also be a great chance to rebrand the faction and once more help them assume their place at the top of the promotion.
