Christian Cage was forced to retire in 2014 after he suffered a serious concussion on an episode of Monday Night RAW. Due to the severity of the injury, Cage quietly retired without any send-off or much fanfare.

While many fans hoped Christian would eventually return, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion ruled it out on many occasions. But after a seven-year absence, Christian returned to active competition earlier this year for WWE.
