#2. Why Adam Page shouldn't win the AEW World Championship: Booking will get complicated for the company
The AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament has two clear favorites in Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson. Because Mox is already a former champion and Danielson is new to the company and won't lose early, The American Dragon is the likeliest winner.
If Hangman Adam Page were to face Bryan Danielson as the AEW World Champion, AEW would have some tough booking decisions to make. Will they have Danielson lose his first match to a smaller star? Will Adam Page's title reign last just a few months?
We haven't even started on the face vs. face dynamic of the match. Hence, if AEW has Adam Page as its world champion, the booking decisions going forward will be quite complicated.
#1. Why Adam Page should win the AEW World Championship: He will be the first homegrown star as the face of the company
Much has been said about AEW recruiting former WWE stars. While the claims are exaggerated, all three AEW World Champions thus far made their names in other promotions. Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley in WWE, and Kenny Omega in NJPW.
While Hangman Adam Page had a solid fan following, it is AEW that gave him the platform to become a household name in wrestling. His winning the AEW World Championship will make him the first homegrown face of the company.
Sammy Guevara and Britt Baker are homegrown stars with titles around their waists, with Hangman Adam Page as the world champion, AEW will have a different look about it.
