WWE is known to have had a lot of iconic tag teams through the years but not many have had the impact of The Hardy Boyz, Jeff and Matt Hardy. The two brothers have had some iconic matches and mind-blowing returns in the past.
They have won multiple titles, both as a team and also as singles competitors in the Stamford-based promotion. They have also had their fair share of external issues, especially Jeff Hardy. They were with AEW till a few months back and are now active on the independent scene and TNA.
There have been signs that the iconic tag team could be making a return to WWE sometime in the future. In this article, we will take a look at three such signs.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#3. Teases on social media
Matt Hardy is often very active on social media. It is one of the ways where he keeps in touch with his fans regularly and gives them hints as to what he wants to do next.
Ever since leaving AEW, he has given a lot of hints about returning to WWE and possibly having one final run there. Matt has also hinted that he and his brother would one day be interested in getting into the WWE Hall of Fame.
#2. The Wyatt Sicks conundrum
Matt and Jeff Hardy have some history with The Wyatt Family. Matt was even tag team champions with the late Bray Wyatt and they were a great team during their run together, with excellent chemistry.
A return to WWE as The Hardy Boyz to have a program with the Wyatt Sicks could be inevitable, given the history between the performers involved here. If it does come to fruition, it could be a great way for them to reintegrate back into the company and elevate the Wyatts Sicks in the process.
#1. One last run with the WWE World Tag Team Titles
There shouldn't be any doubt as to how much impact The Hardy Boyz had on the tag team scene, not only in the Stamford-based promotion but pro wrestling in general. While exits aren't usually very ceremonious, many fans argue they left with a whimper the last time and would certainly want to improve on that.
A return similar to the one they had at WrestleMania 33 will be something they would want. One final run as the tag team champions in the company where they made their name, and then making it to the Hall of Fame could be the stuff of dreams for The Hardy Boyz.
