The Death Riders have been dominating the AEW locker room for a couple of months now. Jon Moxley has gathered the forces of Wheeler Yuta, PAC, Claudio Castagnoli, and Marina Shafir, and together, the group is taking down unmotivated AEW stars.

So far, Jon Moxley has targeted the Private Party, Orange Cassidy, Darby Allin, Top Flight, Dark Order, and many more names. The AEW World Champion has made plenty of enemies in the last couple of months, and some of them are now after his world championship. As a result, the climax of Full Gear was filled with chaos.

Following the main event of the show, Hangman Page, Christian Cage, Darby Allin, and Jay White had a brief confrontation with the One True King. Currently, there is just one AEW pay-per-view left for the year, which is Worlds End. Therefore, it is very unlikely that he will be dethroned this year. However, as many credible challengers are lining up to get the title, Jon may not be the champion when 2026 eventually rolls around.

Jon Moxley and the rest of the Death Riders have been threatening the roster with constant beatdowns. On last week's Dynamite, the crew assaulted Hangman Page and Jay White. Unless a more powerful force comes after Death Riders, they are unlikely to step down from the top.

Let's take a look at some of the ways in which Jon Moxley and his crew could be taken down in 2025.

#3. Wheeler Yuta to secretly conspire against Death Riders

The former ROH Pure Champion was against Moxley's idea to betray Bryan Danielson. However, he played an integral part in taking the American Dragon out at WrestleDream pay-per-view. Despite joining the group, Moxley has assaulted him multiple times throughout the months.

Frustrated with the Death Riders' games, Wheeler Yuta should act as an agent to babyfaces of the AEW locker room, letting them know Jon Moxley's plans ahead of execution. Consequently, when the right time comes, he could betray them and openly declare war.

#2. Christian Cage cashes in and dethrones Jon Moxley

The Patriarch has been evidently lustful to cash in his opportunity to become the next AEW World Champion. He attempted multiple times to do so but failed to capitalize on the situation. After planning a proper cash-in with the help of Jon Moxley's other enemies, he could dethrone the One True King.

With Moxley not being the world champion of AEW, the Death Riders' could lose their confidence, which would eventually lead to their downfall.

#1. The Elite reunites to take down Death Riders

Kenny Omega, Young Bucks, and Hangman Page are currently on different paths. As of now, the Cowboy is aiming to recapture the AEW World Championship. Meanwhile, Kenny Omega will return to NJPW after a lengthy absence. Also, the EVPs recently ran from AEW to work from home after they lost their AEW World Tag Team Championships. Could they come together to save AEW?

Both Kenny Omega and Young Bucks will reportedly be returning to NJPW in January. The trio could return to AEW and set up a massive bout at Revolution to settle the score once in for all.

It remains to be seen if any AEW star/faction can save the promotion from the Death Riders or if the reign of terror continues.
