3 ways Tony Khan could bring back Saraya to AEW

Saraya has been absent from AEW for quite a long time now and fans have started to wonder when she'll be coming back. The former AEW Women's World Champion made her mark as soon as she stepped foot in the promotion.

However, her decline would come quickly as she was barely booked to be part of any major storylines in 2024. Saraya has been an icon in women's wrestling and Tony Khan needs to build her up again to that spot once again.

We're here to examine a few ways Tony Khan could bring back Saraya in AEW in 2025.

#3) Start a feud against Mercedes Mone for the AEW TBS Championship

Mercedes Mone holds all the belts as she was recently crowned a triple champion following her win against Mina Shirakawa at Wrestle Dynasty. Now going as "Four belts Mone," The CEO is rejoicing as she holds her head high at the top, but it won't take too long for an opponent to step up.

Perhaps, that opponent could be none other than Saraya herself, as the two former WWE stars should cross paths once again. These two phenomenal female wrestlers could put on a sensational match in the ring but also tell a convincing story once they feud against each other.

The two stars also have a history with each other, with Mone almost ending Saraya's career with a botched kick at a WWE live event in 2017. Perhaps this could play into their feud, making it about something more than titles and giving the erstwhile Paige something to sink her teeth into.

#2) Adam Copeland could bring her back to fight against The Death Riders

The Death Riders have run rampant on the AEW roster and left a path of destruction, with Jon Moxley leading his crew. Even though Adam Copeland and FTR united to take the fight against the destructive faction, they seem to be outnumbered.

One key member has been a thorn in everyone's side and even managed to distract Adam Copeland enough for The Death Riders to take him out. Perhaps, the Rated-R Superstar will soon realize that he needs to take care of her and since she is a woman, he needs to bring a female star in to deal with her, and that could be Saraya.

Saraya could unite with FTR and Copeland to beat down The Death Riders and give Marina Shafir a taste of her own medicine. Perhaps, the two female stars could even lock horns together in a singles match on AEW Dynamite.

#1) Have her return and win the women's Casino Gauntlet match

Saraya severely needs a comeback and to pull her back to that spot would be to put her back in the main event title scene. If she were to return to AEW soon, she should be placed in a spot in the first-ever women's Casino Gauntlet match.

Saraya could go on to win the match and be the next challenger for the AEW Women's World Championship currently held by Mariah May. Mariah May has been proving herself to be a worthy champion since she captured the title from Toni Storm. However, she could also need the rub from an icon such as Saraya if the two-step inside the ring once again.

Even if the former WWE Superstar doesn't capture the title once again, she'll be rightfully reintroduced to the fold once again. We're also sure that the two stars have the potential to get the fans invested if they were to properly feud.
