A 33-year-old former champion is set to compete in a high-profile title match at AEW All In 2024. The talent in question is Britt Baker.

The DMD was reportedly involved in a backstage confrontation with MJF at a recent Dynamite taping. While she was suspended after the incident, the reigning American Champion wasn't punished by the officials. Many were upset over the fact that the disciplinary committee was seemingly biased in the situation, raising questions about Baker's future. However, she is unlikely to depart from AEW.

Britt Baker is a great asset to the Tony Khan-led company. She is currently feuding with Mercedes Mone, and their match at All In will surely attract many eyeballs. Following her recent return from injury, Baker has become a huge fan favorite, and Khan would not want to lose such a valuable talent.

While Baker may not leave AEW, she may take some time off for the promotional tour for Cobra Kai Season Six Part Two, set to premiere on Netflix in November 2024. The DMD will feature in the second half of season six, where she will play the role of a European fighter in an international karate tournament called Sekai Takai.

After her brief suspension, fans will seemingly see the 33-year-old star on TV again soon. According to a new report from PWinsider, Baker is set to return to television on this week's edition of Dynamite.

What happened between Britt Baker and MJF that reportedly led AEW to suspend her?

On the July 17, 2024, edition of Dynamite, Britt Baker reportedly criticized Friedman and his girlfriend Alicia Atout backstage, following the American Champion's hour-long bout against Will Ospreay. Atout was in the same room as Baker and heard her comments, which she then relayed to her boyfriend.

When The Wolf of Wrestling came to know about this, he confronted Baker, resulting in MJF reportedly punching a wall. An HR investigation was launched on July 24, and the disciplinary committee fined and suspended The DMD.
