AEW recently released a teaser on Collision to hint at a blockbuster new arrival. The short clip featured a gray screen with a computer language writing hologram. Later, fans saw a man running into a portal and going into a time warp. Seconds before the video ended, a visual of a masked man was also seen.
Since then, wrestling fans have been guessing the mystery man who featured in the vignette. Here are four wrestlers who could be behind the mask:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#1. Ricochet
Ricochet's WWE contract expired earlier this month. The former Speed Champion didn't choose to re-sign with the Stamford-based promotion. Therefore, it is believed that he might make his way to Tony Khan's roster shortly.
Some fans believe that the former WWE Intercontinental Champion could be the man behind the mask featured on AEW Collision. Before joining the Triple-H-led promotion, Ricochet used to wear a mask and was known as Prince Puma. Therefore, it could be possible that he is the mystery-masked man.
#2. Former AEW TNT Champion, Sammy Guevara
Sammy Guevara could be another star behind the masked man. The Spanish God has been absent from AEW TV since February 2024. The former TNT Champion was suspended by Tony Khan after he botched an attempted Shooting Star Press during a No Disqualification Match against Jeff Hardy.
However, Sammy's suspension has been lifted, and he is reportedly all set for his return to weekly programming. It was also recently disclosed that the Jacksonville-based promotion was planning something interesting for The Spanish God's return. Hence, the 30-year-old may be the man behind the mask.
#3. Adam Cole
Last year, Adam Cole was unveiled as the person behind The Devil mask. Cole's identity was revealed at Worlds End PPV after Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) lost his World Title to Samoa Joe.
The Undisputed Kingdom leader suffered an ankle injury nine months ago and hasn't been active inside the ring since All Out 2023. However, recent reports suggest that Cole's injury has almost healed, and he is set to return to in-ring duties.
AEW could introduce Adam Cole as the masked man, as he has already played the role before. This time around, the promotion could add more dimension to his storyline with a new mask character and even continue his feud with The Salt of The Earth, which came to an abrupt halt due to the latter's hiatus.
#4. Scorpio Sky
Some fans on social media have also pointed out that Scorpio Sky could be the mystery masked man from the AEW Collision vignette. He was injured in October 2023 and has been off TV ever since.
Earlier this year, in May, Sky talked about his return during an episode of Rampage. A video was shared during the show, which saw the former TNT Champion announce his return. Just like Ricochet, the 41-year-old also used to wear a mask while wrestling in the Indies. Therefore, Sky as the mystery masked man is also very likely.
