Toni Storm has had an intriguing character transformation since she arrived at AEW. While she remained consistent in the squared circle, the Auckland-born star struggled to find her footing as a character during her first year in All Elite Wrestling.

The fall of 2023 saw Toni Storm slowly delving into a character with a retro look and elements from the cinematic Black and White movies of the 1950s. The former AEW Women's World Champion soon went "Timeless," a gimmick that has helped her stand out from the rest of the roster.

Storm's onscreen persona also possesses great comic timing. The 28-year-old star has made some quirky remarks, which stunned the audience. While some of these statements were hilarious, others were too ridiculous to wrap one's brain around. In this article, let's look at four of the most outrageous claims that "Timeless" Toni Storm has made:

#4. Toni Storm hilariously called out Wendi Richter in 2023

At AEW Worlds End 2023, Toni Storm defeated Riho to retain her AEW Women's World Championship. The Timeless star then appeared in the post-show media scrum with Tony Khan and laid out a bizarre challenge to a retired WWE Hall of Famer.

The AEW star addressed defending her title against a hot free agent in the industry, which many assumed to be Mercedes Mone. However, Storm left the entire room stunned by calling out the legendary Wendy Richter, who has not wrestled since 2005.

The 28-year-old star hilariously vowed to destroy the veteran. Interestingly, Wendi Richter later reacted to Storm's challenge, stating she was ready to lock horns with her.

It seems like the Timeless gimmick made Toni Storm forget what era she was in at that moment. At 64, Richter may not be the tough opponent Storm expected her to be.

#3. Toni Storm recently stated she didn't know who Mariah May was

Toni Storm and Mariah May were once very close allies. In July 2024, The Glamour turned her back on her mentor after winning the Women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Mariah obliterated the Timeless star mercilessly and left her in a pool of blood.

The incident eventually led to a match between the two former friends at All In 2024, where Mariah May took down her longtime idol to become the new AEW Women's World Champion.

It was Storm's last appearance in All Elite Wrestling, as she has yet to return to the Toni Khan-led company. The Auckland-born star recently made a return to STARDOM and reunited with Mina Shirakawa.

During a backstage interaction, Storm made a strange comment when Shirakawa mentioned Mariah May. Toni refused to acknowledge The Glamour, stating she had never heard the name "Mariah May."

The loss to May at All In 2024 seems to have affected Storm to a great extent. The former AEW Women's World Champion is still not over it, causing her to deny any past association with The Fighting Princess.

#2. Toni Storm recently claimed she had a love affair with Stan Hansen

Toni Storm returned to STARDOM after a five-year-long absence. The former NXT UK Women's Champion will look to add another title to her collection when she takes on Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Women's Championship in Nagoya on October 5.

The 28-year-old star has planned some intriguing strategies to take down Iwatani. She elaborated on the same during a STARDOM press conference. Storm revealed that she would utilize the knowledge bestowed upon her by her ex-lover and wrestling veteran, Stan Hansen, who is currently 75 years old.

The former Outcasts member opened up about her experience spending a night with Hansen during their ''three-month affair.'' Toni revealed how the retired star taught her about the different aspects of wrestling in Japan.

"To make a long story short, I once had a three-month love affair with Stan Hansen. But on our last night together, he turned to me and he gave me some advice. He said, 'When you're in Japan, you are a foreigner, but when they step into the ring with you, they are your country.' And then he gave me a lariat, but not with his arm," Toni said.

It will be interesting to see if the knowledge shared by her alleged lover helps Toni Storm bring the gold home when she battles Mayu Iwatani.

#1. Toni Storm seemingly fired verbal shots at Cody Rhodes with an unusual statement in April 2024

Cody Rhodes scripted history at WrestleMania 40 earlier this year. The American Nightmare dethroned Roman Reigns to become the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Numerous WWE stars later joined the 39-year-old in the ring to celebrate his triumph.

One of the individuals to celebrate alongside the former AEW star was Triple H, who officially crowned The American Nightmare as the face of WWE. Interestingly, Toni Storm took a cheeky shot at Cody Rhodes' celebration during the post-AEW Dynasty media scrum later that month.

The Timeless star listed her accomplishments, stating that she was the best thing to ever happen to All Elite Wrestling. Storm then directed her attention towards Tony Khan and told the AEW CEO that her success only belonged to her.

The former WWE Superstar claimed that no matter how many stories she finished in the future, she would never call Khan to celebrate with her in the ring. It was a direct shot at The American Nightmare, who had invited The Game to be a part of his special moment at The Show of Shows.

While it is unclear why Storm made such a bizarre statement, her claim of not inviting Tony Khan raised a lot of eyebrows.
